Story.
Carbonstone is a five-person studio in Calgary, Alberta, founded in 2024. We design, mould, and hand-cast sculptural corporate awards, trophies, and gifts from low-carbon concrete — replacing roughly 20% of the standard cement with fly-ash to lower the carbon footprint of every piece.
Our Story
CarbonStone started in 2024 in a basement, with one 3D printer and a case competition. We were asked to design the trophies — and once people held them, the interest kept growing.
The reason came down to material. Plastic feels cheap and often ends up in landfills, other trophy materials are so overdone that they do not feel special, our process with concrete gives a unique creation to celebrate peoples achievements while maintaining a high quality feel.
Since then we've collaborated with companies, firms, and universities across Calgary on awards, technical modelling, and the objects that mark real achievements.
